When a strange energy begins to transmit from Earth’s moon, Iron Man and his companion Jack of Hearts head into space to investigate ! Unfortunately, Russia, also picking up the energy’s signature, sends an investigative team too !

Given the strained relations between the U.S. and Russia, it’s no surprise a battle erupts! It’s the armored avenger and Jack of Hearts vs. the Soviet Super-Soldiers (Darkstar, Vanguard, Crimson Dynamo) on the surface of the moon !

First appearance of Vanguard. Cameo appearances by the Guardsman, Madame Masque, Jean DeWolff, Jasper Sitwell, and Yellowjacket.
